Job Description

As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and intuitive user interfaces for our platform. You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and other teams to design and enhance user experiences that meet the needs of both our sellers and customers. Your design work will directly influence the success of our platform, and you will be an integral part of the product development process.

Roles & Responsibilities

• UI/UX Design:
• Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for the marketplace that enhance both the seller and customer experience.
• Create wireframes, mockups and prototypes that visually represent the user flow and functionality of the platform.
• Ensure design consistency across all pages, screens and devices, maintaining a high-quality user experience.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
• Work closely with product managers, developers and other stakeholders to bring designs to life in a functional, cohesive platform.
• Communicate design concepts and rationale effectively to team members and other departments.
• Figma-Based Design:
• Utilize Figma as the primary design tool to create and maintain design systems, components and assets for the platform.
• Contribute to building a consistent design system and ensure that the design standards are upheld across the platform.
• Responsive Design:
• Ensure that all designs are mobile-first and work across multiple devices, including desktop, tablet and mobile.
• Optimize designs for both web and mobile experiences.
• Branding & Visual Design:
• Align designs with the brand's voice and aesthetic while ensuring a clean, modern and user-friendly visual style.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency across web design, promotional materials and product design elements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.
• Proficiency in Figma is required; experience with other design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch or InVision is a plus.
• Strong understanding of UX principles, user-centered design and best practices in UI design.
• Experience working on responsive design and understanding mobile-first design concepts.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS or basic web development concepts is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex problems into intuitive and simple solutions.
• Strong communication skills to clearly explain design decisions to team members and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, creativity and a passion for building beautiful, functional designs.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in designing for e-commerce platforms or multi-seller websites.
• Familiarity with design systems, component libraries and design system management.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards in UI/UX design.
• Understanding of user research methodologies and tools.
