Job Title: CAD Lead – Transmission Line

Department: CAD

Location: Ahmedabad

Reporting To: CAD Head

Job Objective

To administer, oversee, and manage contracts post-award, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and facilitating material management and vendor coordination for transmission line projects.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Monitor adherence to contract and process requirements.
  • Develop and standardize contract management policies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with Project Heads to align contract management with project needs.
  • Oversee contract risk strategies and escalate high-risk issues.
  • Monitor and resolve major disputes and claims.
  • Provide audit data and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with contractors and ensure issue resolution.
  • Negotiate and prepare NFAs for contract amendments and release change orders.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts consistently throughout their lifecycle.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Act as a liaison between contractors/vendors and project teams.
  • Evaluate contractor performance based on contractual understanding.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials as per project requirements.
  • Process running bills and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Manage Bank Guarantees (BGs).

Qualifications

  • Education: B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: 8–12 years in Contract Management
