An Interior Architect is responsible for designing and planning the interior spaces of buildings while considering both functionality and aesthetics. They integrate architectural principles with interior design to create spaces that are both visually appealing and structurally sound. Interior Architects work closely with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that interior spaces meet practical, safety, and design standards. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements, goals, and budgets. Develop detailed interior architectural designs including space planning, layouts, materials, and finishes. Prepare drawings, 3 D models, and specifications using software such as Auto CAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design integrity during construction. Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, accessibility standards, and sustainability guidelines. Select furniture, fixtures, materials, and lighting based on design intent and client needs. Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve design-related issues. Present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders. Stay updated with the latest trends in interior architecture, design technologies, and materials. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field. Proven experience in interior architecture or interior design, preferably in commercial, residential, or hospitality sectors. Proficiency in design and drafting software (Auto CAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Rhino, etc.). Strong understanding of spatial design, building systems, and materials. Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Work Environment: Office-based with frequent site visits. May require travel to project sites or client meetings. Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple projects.
