Cisco SASE L2 Engineer Job Description

Location : Chennai

Experiene : 5+ years

As an L2 engineer in the realm of Cisco SASE, your role involves ensuring robust security, seamless access, and efficient management of network resources. Specifically, your responsibilities will revolve around the integration and optimization of Cisco Umbrella, Duo, and firewall components. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

1. Secure Access and Identity Management:

- Duo Authentication: Implement and manage multi-factor authentication (MFA) using Duo. This involves verifying user identities and assessing device security.- Behavior Detection: Leverage Duo to detect unusual behavior or abnormal activity during access attempts.- Single Sign-On (SSO): Deploy SSO solutions to enhance access control for cloud-based services and applications.

1. Cisco Umbrella Integration:

- DNS Filtering: Utilize Cisco Umbrella’s Domain Name System (DNS) as a foundation. Filter network traffic through antivirus, firewall, and cloud security features.- Cloud Security: Enhance security for cloud-based applications and services.- Visibility and Control: Gain insights into network traffic and enforce security policies.

1. Firewall Security:

- Firewall Rules: Configure and manage firewall rules to protect the network perimeter.- Intrusion Detection and Prevention: Collaborate with security teams to detect and prevent unauthorized access or malicious activities.- Traffic Inspection: Ensure traffic inspection at the network boundary.

1. Zero Trust Architecture:

- Zero Trust Model: Implement principles of zero trust to secure access across the network.- Third-Party Access: Facilitate secure third-party access to Hitachi’s system and tools.

1. Collaboration and Flexibility:

- Vendor Choice: Hitachi chose Cisco due to its inherent flexibility and alignment with their specific needs.- SASE Approach: Recognize that SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) is becoming prevalent as an approach to realize the zero-trust model.

Qualifications and Skills:
