Job Purpose Summary:

To actively contribute in designing and developing research policy and its implementation; to coordinate Ph. D program; to build upon and foster research culture in the Institution.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


Teaching and Learning

· To contribute in the development of innovative approaches to course design and delivery.

. To ensure that teaching, module design and delivery do comply with the quality and educational standards of the Institute.

· To produce high quality teaching and learning material to support and develop student’s learning.

· To challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.

· To collaborate with academic colleagues on course development and curriculum changes.

· To develop and research own teaching materials and ensure that content, methods of delivery and learning materials meet defined learning objectives.


Research

· To research and create high quality teaching material, research papers, monographs etc and identify current best practice in relevant subjects/disciplines.

· To present and promote all institutional efforts to knowledge creation at national and international forums, and engage actively with external research institutions of repute.

. To foster a research culture in the institute and coordinate the Ph.D. program.

. To submit proposals for government funded projects, coordinating and ensuring successful completion of the same.


Qualification:

Applicants must be a Ph. D. with a minimum 15 years of teaching experience or 20 years of relevant industry experience. A good track record of research publications in national and international journals of repute is highly desirable.
