**Position Overview**:
Tecnia Institute of Advance Studies is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Dean for the School of Business Administration, Journalism, and Mass Communication (BA-JMC). This pivotal role requires a visionary leader with a doctoral degree and a deep understanding of academic administration, particularly in the domains of business, journalism, and mass communication. The Dean will drive the strategic direction of the School, fostering academic excellence, innovative research, and community engagement.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Strategic Leadership and Vision**:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the School that aligns with the College’s mission and goals.
- Drive the advancement of academic programs, research initiatives, and community outreach.
- Ensure the School remains at the forefront of industry trends and educational advancements.
- **Academic Program Oversight**:
- Oversee the development, evaluation, and enhancement of undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Promote curriculum innovation and ensure academic rigor and relevance.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary opportunities within the School and with other academic units.
- **Faculty and Staff Management**:
- Lead recruitment, development, and retention of high-caliber faculty and staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and productive work environment.
- **Student Success and Engagement**:
- Implement strategies to enhance student recruitment, retention, and success.
- Promote student engagement through experiential learning, internships, and career services.
- Advocate for students’ academic and professional needs.
- **Financial and Resource Management**:
- Develop and manage the School’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Seek and secure external funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and partnerships.
- Ensure financial accountability and sustainability.
- **External Relations and Advancement**:
- Represent the School to external stakeholders, including alumni, industry partners, and the community.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry and media organizations.
- Enhance the School’s reputation and visibility through strategic outreach and marketing.
- **Institutional Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with College leadership and other academic units to support institutional goals.
- Participate in College-wide committees and initiatives.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction and mission of the College.
**Qualifications**:
- An earned doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Business Administration, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a closely related field.
- Extensive experience in academic administration with a proven track record of leadership in higher education.
- Demonstrated understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within business, journalism, and mass communication education.
- Strong strategic, organizational, and financial management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
