- Job Purpose: Summarize two to three reasons why the job exists, and how it contributes to the overall mission objective of the organization
- Responsible for project planning, scheduling, tracking, monitoring, working with various agencies and management where project is lagging and suggesting corrective action plans for the projects being handled by the person.
- Will work closely with Project Management Consultants and will provide various inputs required to project management consultant

- Job Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Monitoring and Controlling:
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resources, requirements, and milestones.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment with project objectives
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective strategies to keep the project on track.
- Conduct regular site visits to oversee construction activities, address concerns and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Facilitate effective communication and foster positive relationships to ensure clarity of project goals and expectations.
- Address stakeholder concerns, provide timely updates on project status, and manage expectations regarding deliverables.
- Budget and Cost Control:
- Monitor project expenses and identify areas where cost-saving measures can be implemented.
- Track and manage budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Identify training needs, mentor team members, and provide professional development opportunities to enhance skills and capabilities.
- MIS and Regular Reporting:
- Prepare reports in MS Project or other project management software for regular reviews by management.
- Decision Making: Typical decisions and recommendations the position holder has to make in the course of job responsibilities indicated above
- Collection of information from various departments/sources and technical evaluation of the proposals.
- Close coordination with Project Management consultant for updation to management.
- Project monitoring, immediate information on critical paths and corrective action.
- Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- B. Tech (Mechanical) having about 8-15 years of experience
- Experience in Hot-Rolling and Cold-Rolling Projects
- Experience of Microsoft project and other project management software (SAP) hands-on experience in the areas of steel making, rolling, coating, and mining.
- Expertise in project management to handle and manage consultant contracts and suppliers.
