Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Collections Executive Lead to take ownership of the student fee collection process. This role involves direct follow-ups, coordination with payment partners, and leading a small collections team to meet recovery targets. While the position is focused on the EdTech domain, candidates with a background in e-commerce collections are also welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the collections team to ensure timely and efficient fee recovery from students and learners.
  • Set daily/weekly collection targets and guide the team to achieve individual and group goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coach team members, and drive a high-performance culture.
  • Personally handle escalated cases and difficult payment follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with payment gateways and partners such as Razorpay, PayU, Instamojo, Jodo, etc., for transaction tracking and resolution.
  • Monitor and manage EMI-based collection schedules and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Maintain and oversee accurate records of payment history, communication logs, and recovery actions.
  • Generate detailed reports on team performance, collection status, and outstanding dues.
  • Collaborate with internal departments like sales, support, and finance to resolve billing issues.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance collection efficiency and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in collections, with at least 1–2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
  • Prior experience in EdTech collections is preferred; e-commerce collections experience is also acceptable.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to train, guide, and motivate a team.
  • Hands-on experience with payment tracking tools, reconciliation platforms, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with EMI collection processes, especially through platforms like Jodo.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with performance monitoring and collection KPI dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize team outcomes.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP tools used in the finance or education sector.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month
