ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

  • Primary bridge between the Bank and investors/ analysts/ credit rating agencies; need to have a bird's eye view of entire Bank’s operations, performance, strategy, outlook etc.
  • Direct responsibility for assisting in stakeholder communication through accurate interpretation of business and creating a positive brand image of the Bank
  • Preparing and maintain a strong Investor Relations practice to ensure timely and appropriate communication to investors/ analyst/ credit rating agencies, develop and maintain relationships with these external stakeholders.
  • Expand investor base of the Bank and bring in new investors who are aligned to long-term goals of the Bank.
  • Ensure Bank has strong credit rating which ensures easier and cheaper funding sources.
  • Involvement in strategic business issues and high value projects from time to time.
  • For a fast-growing bank, capital is required to boost growth and meet regulatory requirements. Hence, the need for frequent fund raises. Ensure the Bank is able to raise equity capital as and when needed.
  1. Assist Head-Strategy toward inorganic growth, identifying targets, evaluating strategic fit and valuation

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE


Business

Business – Investor Relations

  • Formulating investment story of the company which highlights the long-term value drivers, in close coordination with various business verticals to strengthen the Brand value of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank
  • Formulating analyst / investor communication strategy based current business performance/outlook of business in-line with long term strategy of the company.
  • Representing company in analyst meets and investor conferences/ roadshows.
  • Quarterly Earnings Reporting - leading key aspects of quarterly earnings reporting including working with senior leadership, functional leaders for market facing deliverables such as
  1. Quarterly business update
  2. Investor Presentation
  3. MD/CEO speech || Earnings call script
  4. Quarterly earnings/press releases
  5. Financial data factsheet
  6. Q&A document
  7. Social Media Post
  8. Ownership of logistics
  • Interacting with sell side and buy side analysts and optimizing investor access to top management of the company.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for the investor community / research analysts by proactive communication calls and meetings.
  • Management Updates / reports - Competitive intelligence provide research and summaries of peer companies' quarterly results and analysis.
  • Prepare Board/Management material as needed -
  1. Financial Performance & Business parameters
  2. Report on peer stock performance and valuations for top management
  • Monitor analyst' report and summaries for senior management. Provide feedback to management regarding market perception.
  • Regular updates to management related to share price movement of Ujiivan SFB vis-à-vis peers.
  • Serve as a Liaison to Investors / External Analysts and to the senior management team- organize, coordinate and external relations efforts to ensure Ujjivan Small Finance Bank is adequately represented in the Investor community and forums.
  • Should be able to liaison with various functions, business units to obtain necessary information which is important in discharging the responsibilities towards analyst/investors.
  • Attending various business review meets/ quarterly business meetings to stay abreast with ongoing business developments.
  • Contribution toward Annual Report preparation, with respect to various sections such as
  1. MD & CEO perspective
  2. Management discussion and analysis
  3. Financial Numbers and ratios
  • Creation and/or upkeep of Banks information database so that information is readily available, with strong hold on peers’ numbers and models.
  • Manage Investor Relations portion of Banks website.
  • Take responsibility of confidentiality of information gathered internally and exercise caution in disseminating with external analysts/investors.

Business – Credit Rating

  • Ensure timely communication with rating agencies to facilitate optimal credit rating for debt instruments.
  • Preparing and collating the data required for annual surveillance and short-term letter renewal, arranging meeting with management for the same.
  • Taking care of other requirement like monthly viz. No due declaration, ad hoc data requirement etc

Business – FP&S

  • Arrange branch/ field visits.
  • Detailed peer analysis

  • Preparation of business level and branch level profitability for the bank and analyzing the same on regular basis
  • Preparation and circulation of Monthly Business Plan
  • Preparation and circulation of Monthly Provisional Numbers

Learning & Performance

  • Ensure adherence to training man-days/ mandatory training programs for self.

  • Train management (Senior and mid-level) to interact with investors/ analysts/ credit rating agencies.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

An MBA/PGDM (Finance)/ CFA/ CA/ Professional Finance Degree

5-10 years’ experience in Financial Planning & analysis preferred
