Job Summary:
The General Manager - Production will oversee the entire production process, ensuring that all
products are manufactured efficiently, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time. The
role requires a dynamic leader with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple
production cells and ensuring seamless coordination between departments. The GM Production
will be responsible for cost control, quality management, data analysis, and continuous process
improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. On-Time Delivery
○ Oversee and manage the production schedule for each cell within the department.
○ Set department or cell-wise targets to ensure smooth and timely delivery of products.
○ Implement immediate corrective actions to address any delays or issues affecting on-time delivery.
2. Quality Control
○ Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards and customer specifications.
○ Guide the Quality Control (QC) team to achieve high-quality output with minimal processing time.
○ Maintain and monitor QC parameters on the production floor as per customer requirements.
○ Continuously work on reducing errors, rejection rates, and improving overall product quality.
○ Ensure adherence to QC certification procedures and standards.
3. Production Cost Control
○ Monitor and manage production costs to ensure they are kept within budget.
○ Implement strategies to reduce manufacturing costs, minimize gold loss, and prevent diamond breakage.
○ Identify and apply cost-reducing techniques across the production process.
4. Production Method Analysis
○ Analyze past production data to inform future production planning.
○ Design and conduct training sessions or meetings based on production analysis to improve efficiency.
○ Develop and implement corrective plans or strategies after thorough analysis of production data.
5. Data Management
○ Prepare and oversee the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly production and quality reports on a cell-wise basis.
○ Supervise the preparation and verification of employee attendance and in-out reports.
○ Analyze and maintain attrition reports, and ensure accurate MIS reporting for production and quality.
6. Inventory Control
○ Supervise and manage inventory control, ensuring accurate tracking and verification of production pieces post-QA and packing.
○ Delegate tasks and responsibilities within the team to maintain effective inventory control.
○ Design and implement processes for efficient inventory management.
Skills and Qualifications:
● Accountability: Strong sense of responsibility for outcomes and meeting targets.
● Detail Oriented: Ability to focus on every aspect of the production process.
● Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
● Proficiency in production management software and tools.
