About the Team & Role   The Roku Pay, Core Payments team has played a pivotal role in driving Roku’s rapid growth in online subscriptions, powered by a seamless in-streaming, on-TV purchase experience. Supporting a wide range of Roku teams, Core Payments enables transactions across multiple consumer touchpoints — including TV, web, mobile, and advertising. These teams employ diverse strategies to sell digital content, from Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) and Transactional Video on Demand (TVOD) to Roku-branded devices and shoppable ads directly on the device. Core Payments is now seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the creation of our Payment Machine Learning Platform — a high-impact initiative designed to optimize payment retries, routing, and authorization success rates for our subscription business. This platform will harness AI/ML to make real-time, data-driven payment decisions at scale, directly influencing revenue growth, reducing churn, and enhancing customer satisfaction. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of machine learning, payments infrastructure, and subscription growth, collaborating with engineering, data science, finance, and payment operations to deliver a platform that is both technically sophisticated and mission-critical. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly technical environment, possesses deep knowledge of payments and subscription economics, and can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution. You will own the roadmap, drive flawless delivery, and continuously improve the platform through experimentation and data-driven insights.  What You’ll Be Doing   Define and Drive the Roadmap: Partner with engineering, ML, and business stakeholders to define a high-impact roadmap for the Payment ML Platform, aligned to Roku’s subscription growth goals. Translate Business Goals into Product Requirements/Feature Guides, Convert business KPIs (e.g., authorization rate uplift, churn reduction) into clear product requirements, success metrics, and technical specifications.  Lead AI/ML Product Development: Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to design, train, and deploy models for retry prediction, payment routing, and fraud prevention. Champion Experimentation:  Design and oversee A/B and multivariate tests to validate hypotheses, measure incremental lift, and drive continuous improvement. Hands-On Execution:  Roll up your sleeves to write PRDs, define acceptance criteria, review model performance dashboards, and troubleshoot issues with engineering. Stakeholder Management:  Communicate roadmap progress, risks, and learnings to executives and cross-functional partners. Post-Launch Optimization: Monitor KPIs, identify opportunities for improvement, and prioritize enhancements to maximize impact. Ensure Compliance & Security: Work with legal and compliance teams to meet PCI-DSS, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements for payment data.  We’re Excited If You Have   8+ years in product management, ideally with experience in payments, fintech, subscription businesses, or ML-driven platforms.  Proven track record of shipping complex products in partnership with engineering, data science, and operations teams.  Strong understanding of payment processing flows, gateways, acquirer optimization, and retry logic.  Experience defining and measuring KPIs, running large-scale A/B tests, and making data-driven decisions.  Ability to articulate complex ML concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.  Comfort working in fast-paced, highly iterative environments.  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field; MBA a plus.  #LI-AR2 Benefits Roku is committed to offering a diverse range of benefits as part of our compensation package to support our employees and their families.
