Project Manager – GTO International Manufacturing, Hoskote

Job Description :

Mission :

Contribute to strategic objectives of the plant through the investigation and implementation of projects approved in the industrial system project portfolio.

Manage the interface within GTO stakeholders including Engineering, Logistics, Production, Quality, P&IT and HR in the project deliveries.

Manage the interface outside GTO stakeholders including GTT / GTP and other Truck Brands in the project deliveries as applicable.

Manage the interface outside Volvo as Tooling & Equipment suppliers, consumables in the project deliveries as applicable.

Job Profile:

Participate in the industrial investigations as needed within GTO International Manufacturing. Collaborate with Global Industrial investigation teams / Project managers of GTO to secure implementation of approved projects Take active part of decision making in the Project Management Team. Lead the project team and secure a strong project governance to manage project deliveries. Secure PSM way of working through the Project implementation and secure the End effects of the projects as defined in the project charter. Secure a strong project documentation which will serve as reference from the SP start.  Secure implementation of standardized work in the project being handled and achieve the benchmark efficiencies in the operations as applicable Secure information flow, team spirit and common understanding of strategies in the manufacturing teams involving cross functions. Define and secure implementation of VPS relevant VPS principles supporting going for gold campaign as applicable. Be GTO International Manufacturing Hoskote voice in the projects organisations.

Responsibilities :

Plan, manage, and coordinate changes in alignment with strategic objectives of the plant. Lead and drive the cross functional work within the Project by meeting QDCF targets as well as sustainability targets Continuously drive and monitor progress and report deviations when found necessary Identify main risks and establish mitigation plan/activities Identify roadblocks and secure resolution with the project team Secure Manufacturing capacity for SP-start (volumes and quality), including through potential extra activities Prepare, report project status and elevate potential issues, request for support and make recommendations Micro level planning for implementation period for all the stake holder Ensuring on time PO for long lead-time items procurements and delivery of the same onsite Responsible for Handover activities from Project to Line organisation (End Gate) Monitor budget and report deviations Adhere to the processes and methods established for the project management Interact on a daily base with other lines involved in the project. Support Manufacturing Engineer’s to balance the work load in the team.

Education or Experience Required:

University/college graduated in Engineering Minimum 8-10 years of Project Management Experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Knowledge of GTO / Volvo Organisation Knowledge & relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering, lean manufacturing is an advantage Having PSM/PMP certification is an advantage Having leading successful projects is an advantage
