JOB TITLE

Hardware engineer – Should Costing.


EXPERIENCE

Minimum 8+ years of experience in engineering field for reverse engineering, competitor product benchmarking, PCB should costing, Electronic component costing & Value Engineering


LOCATION :- Bangalore


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand stakeholder request and establish scope of work

Evaluate circuits, electrical components, electronic components, PCB assembly bill of material etc. for the products under study

Dis-assemble products and PCB assemblies systematically for comparative study, alternate parts, obsolescence and part cost data analysis

Perform basis electrical and electronics testing for power, communication and data components

Prepare sample for functional test and material characterization

Generate schematics data using the tear down information on PCB assemblies and electrical / electronics testing information

Provide Technical support, root cause failure analysis and problem-solving assistance on manufacturing or quality issues


Desirable:

Experience in A-priori Should costing tool

Experience in electrical & mechanical design consideration for electrical and electromechanical product development in industrial / aerospace / automotive / medical / energy domain

Hands on experience for tearing apart assemblies / sub-assemblies of electromechanical parts, PCB assemblies and Electronic circuits design

Experience in manufacturing operations for PCB assemblies, electrical products

Hands on experience for tearing apart assemblies / sub-assemblies of electromechanical parts

Experience in manufacturing operations such as stamping, molding, machining & coating

Hands on experience in electrical and electronic testing of components, assemblies, and products

Good Conceptual, problem solving and Analytical Skills.

Should be Self-Motivated, Adaptive, Passionate about results and a Good Team Player

Strong Interpersonal & stake holder management skill

Demonstrated Experience of working in a fast paced and changing environment with tight deadlines

Knowledge of Global Certifications and Regulatory Standards (UL, IEC, MIL etc.) is an advantage.
