Job Title: Assistant Manager – Finance and Accounts

We are looking for an experienced
Assistant Manager
– Finance and Accounts with an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong focus on processes, a team-oriented attitude, and excellent presentation skills to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) industry. As a senior member of the Finance team, the Senior Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic insights to support business growth.

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting operations, develop and implement internal control policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and consultants by providing required documentation, responding to findings, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Contribute to financial and legal due diligence processes and perform under high-pressure scenarios.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget adherence and work closely with department heads to optimize spending.
  • Ensure alignment with relevant accounting standards, laws, and financial regulations.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to support both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals.
  • Monitor receivables, payables, and overall working capital to maximize efficiency in cash utilization.
  • Design and implement strategies to mitigate cash flow risks and ensure financial stability.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations.
  • Identify process synergies across Cash, Intercompany, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions and implement industry best practices.
  • Handle investor queries and prepare board-level presentations and financial reports.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10–15 years of experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Prior experience in a startup environment is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and create department-specific SOPs in line with accounting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software/tools.
