It started off as a balance check application and the company has expanded its business model to financial services. The company aims to build a financial platform for the next billion which set the context for loans, utility services, pay later services, and commerce services. The Company's wholly-owned subsidiary True Credits Private Limited, is a licensed NBFC that aims to bridge the financial gap in India by making Finance available for all. True Credits lends through the True Balance mobile application.
Job Description: Deputy Manager/Manager - Legal
Job Description: The candidate should provide comprehensive support to the legal team in all activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. This role involves reviewing and vetting agreements, drafting standard templates, resolving customer complaints, performing due diligence, supporting litigation processes, managing legal documents, conducting legal research, and coordinating with external advisors.
Responsibilities:
Review/vetting of agreements related to the business (related to Business, Product, IT, collection, marketing, HR & administration, & other departments) including ensuring that all agreements have relevant clauses as required under law and to protect the Company's interest.
Drafting/ reviewing standard templates of the Company & group including product journey.
Resolving / helping relevant teams to provide appropriate response to complaints raised by Customers.
To perform minimum legal due diligence, KYC checks & other on-boarding requirements as per policies of the Company before entering into agreement.
Supporting in all litigations & filing of complaints with police/ court & liasioning with enforcement agencies, investigation agencies, etc.
Manage all formalities for execution of agreements & other legal documents and archival of documents properly.
Doing research on guidelines issued by RBI, judgement & other legal topics.
Managing external advisors, law firms, consultants and follow ups with them.
Managing tracker and other MIS maintained by the Legal team, perform internal retrospect examination for legal & highlight issues along with resolutions.
Required candidate profile:
4-8 years of post-qualification relevant experience in the legal role in Banks/ NBFCs or law firms with banking & finance practice.
Experience in PPI Industry/NBFC will be an added advantage.
Should be from Delhi/Gurugram or agree to re-allocate in Delhi/Gurugram.
Education :
(BBA-LLB)/ (BCom- LLB) from reputed University/ Law School preferably from any National law school.
