Role purpose:

Takeda is in the process of creating a new and robust Digital Branding and Corporate Communications presence in India in an effort to build Takeda Innovation Capability Center (ICC). This effort will include an enhanced Digital Brand Manager professional with External Communications skills tasked with creating and implementing a strategic internal and external communications and Brand Plans as well as employee engagement programs in support of ICC business objectives and initiatives.

Key to this effort, an experienced and well-rounded Digital Brand Manager with strong communications skills is required. Reporting directly to the Head of ICC, the successful candidate will be required to:

Develop and implement the Digital and Brand Strategies that support the positioning of the ICC brand in the Indian Market and globally in Takeda, collaborating with PR & Marketing agencies and well as with all the players around the ICC ecosystem (Universities, Tech Companies, Government, Candidates, etc.) Manage and implement editorial strategy across internal / external corporate communications channels, working closely with the Head of ICC and with a specific focus on building brand awareness in India Develop content for internal / external audiences including major universities, local communities, student associations, executive letters, talking points and video scripts, blog articles and articles for the company magazine with the support of external PR/Marketing agencies. Manage external communications projects and activities as required by the Head of ICC in support of the wider communications team and its strategic communications plan to promote Takeda’s brand awareness in India.

Primary responsibilities:

Manage and implement Brand & Digital Plans, including editorial strategy across internal and external corporate communications channels, through:

Develop and implement innovative Marketing and Digital campaigns that supports the positioning of the ICC Brand within the different target groups in the ecosystem. Digital Community management: Monitoring outcomes against measurable objectives and indicators (e.g., social media attractions, student candidate participants, Intranet statistics, feedback from key stakeholders and levels of employee engagement based on feedback forms, surveys, and other mechanisms) and continually strategizing ways to drive engagement across internal / external channels. Developing original, innovative editorial content for major corporate and project announcements, executive letters, the company magazine, and other external / internal communication materials while applying Takeda’s existing communication approach for ICCs to all communications Applying the internal / external Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and ensuring high level editorial standards, guidelines and quality control across all communications publications and channels Internal Community Management: Driving and managing several communications projects and activities associated with ICC and its local community activities in support of the wider internal / external communications and strategic plan. This may include (but is not limited to) the following activities:Project managementKey message developmentExternal issues managementSupporting the development of an internal academy to build corporate communications capabilities

Skills and experience:

The successful candidate will have:

Experience designing and implementing successful Brand Plans with Digital elements (internal and external) A creative, out of the box thinker with a track record of coming up with new ways to engage external stakeholders and employees Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing or a related field, with +7 years of experience and excellent writing, copyediting and proofreading skills Experience (minimum of +5 years) in Digital services environment, with general understanding in related technologies (Social networks, CRMs, etc..) Experience of working with vendors for branding, media coverage, events hosting and management, university connects Experience in managing and implementing an editorial strategy to meet corporate communications objectives Managerial experience in corporate communications, including oversight of multiple communications publications An exceptionally strong eye for detail, with solid strategic, analytical and planning skills, as well as a creative approach to problem solving Comfortable with change, with an ability and willingness to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment
  Understanding of social media and how to apply those principles to internal / external communications Ability to deliver in high pressure situations and with short deadlines
