Job Purpose:


Royal Enfield is seeking a skilled and passionate UX Researcher with a focus on Human-Machine Interface(HMI) UX to join our innovative team.In this role, you will be primarily responsible for researching and designing HMI systems that deliver a seamless and intuitive user experience.You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our HMI solutions adhere to Royal Enfield's principles of being clean, contextual, and glanceable.

Responsibilities

  • HMI UX Research: Lead research efforts specifically focused on Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, understanding user interactions, needs, and pain points within the motorcycle context.


  • Research Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive research plans, identifying key research questions, objectives, and appropriate methodologies for HMI UX.


  • Data Analysis: Analyze research data related to HMI interactions to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights that can guide design and product decisions.


  • Proof of Concept (PoC) Development: Create and present Proof of Concept (PoC) prototypes for HMI systems to demonstrate research findings and design concepts. Ensure alignment with project goals and obtain sign-off from management at various stages of the project.


  • Problem solving: Identify design constraints from the hardware and software teams, and make strategic design and UX decisions related to core functions and features.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate HMI research findings into the product development process.


  • Persona Development: Create user personas, journey maps, and other deliverables to effectively communicate user needs and experiences specific to HMI.


  • Reporting & Presentations: Synthesize and present research findings in clear, compelling reports and presentations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging research methods, and best practices in HMI UX to continuously improve our research processes.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, Anthropology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
