Job Purpose:
The EHS Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations across the organization. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS policies and procedures to promote a safe and sustainable workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs in line with statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety laws, rules, and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive initiatives for workplace safety, accident prevention, and continuous improvement in EHS practices.
- Train and create awareness among employees on EHS standards, safe practices, and emergency preparedness.
- Monitor and manage waste disposal, emissions, and environmental sustainability practices.
- Maintain documentation and prepare reports for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Lead safety committees and coordinate with cross-functional teams for EHS compliance.
- Ensure availability, usage, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors / Masters Degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA / Diploma in Industrial Safety preferred.
- 8 - 12 years of experience in EHS, preferably in Manufacturing/Automobile sector.
- Strong knowledge of national and international EHS regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
