PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is responsible to manage foundational EHS systems that are utilized by the EHS organization with an emphasis on field, repair, and manufacturing operations at EEIL.
Manage EHS compliance and process conformance, identify opportunities for risk management, and manage and prevent related liabilities from a holistic EHS perspective.
Responsible for ISO related documentation, implementation, and compliance for 14001, and 45001.
BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE
What are the requirements of this job in terms of education and previous work experience? What kinds of knowledge and skills should the incumbent possess? Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety or related field plus 3 - 5 years of applicable experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in EHS department in Heavy Manufacturing industry preferable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential, as this position must interact with all levels of the organization. Fluent English is essential.
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, data bases and internet based systems) required.

Support EHS statutory and regulatory compliance programs and takes initiatives for EHS related improvements at EEIL India operations.
Establishes internal process controls for EEIL and aligns with all EEIL operations in addition to the Global EHS functions.
Serves as point of contact for EEIL data collection ensuring that data is collected and consistent for the EEIL requirement.
Occasional interface with external regulatory agencies and internal and external legal counsel.
Analyzes historical EHS compliance and performance data to determine opportunities for improvement and to support executive leadership in decision making.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS

Coordination with Regulatory Agencies in the region.
Supporting companies including but not limited to analytical laboratories, certified industrial hygiene firms, water and pollution control engineering companies, third party environmental consulting firms and risk management and law firms representing Elliott company risks and liabilities.
Elliott personnel for communication of environmental and health and safety compliance requirements, incident prevention, and energy and waste reduction efforts throughout the facility, from floor personnel to leadership management. With third party providers for the identification of EHS training requirements and ensuring that affected personnel receive EHS training, with documentation for each.
Communication of EHS issues to Management and appropriate regulatory authorities.

- Utilizing standardized EHS metrics to be used to establish long term and short-term goals for EEIL operations.
Support management of EHS incidents, including initial response, investigation and causal analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and data entry into electronic EHS information system
