Job Title: Mortgage Underwriter

Experience Required: Minimum 3 year in mortgage underwriting

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mortgage Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in assessing mortgage loan applications, evaluating risk, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze mortgage loan applications to determine creditworthiness and risk.
  • Assess applicant's financial status, credit history, and property evaluation reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and lending guidelines.
  • Collaborate with loan officers, processors, and other stakeholders for additional documentation or clarifications.
  • Make sound underwriting decisions within authorized limits.
  • Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and justifications.
  • Stay updated on mortgage industry trends, regulations, and underwriting standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mortgage Underwriter.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines, credit analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in mortgage underwriting software and MS Office tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills.
