Job Title: Java Backend Developer (Contract Role)

Location: Pune

Contract Duration: 1 Year

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team on a contract basis. As a backend developer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of robust and scalable backend systems. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to build high-quality and efficient software solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies.- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.- Work with RESTful APIs, microservices, and other backend technologies.- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate backend services with user-facing applications.- Conduct performance tuning, debugging, and optimization for better scalability and reliability.- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.- Contribute to software architecture design and documentation.- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.- Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, standups, and reviews.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Java Backend Developer (3+ years preferred).- Strong proficiency in Java, including experience with Spring Boot.- Hands-on experience with MySQL for database management and design.- Experience with Kafka for message streaming and processing.- Knowledge of Redis for caching and performance optimization.- Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) for cloud infrastructure management.- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design patterns.- Experience with RESTful API development and microservices architecture.- Experience with version control systems (Git).- Knowledge of unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).

Desired Skills:

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies.- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.- Knowledge of JavaScript or front-end technologies is a plus.
