Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team on a contract basis. As a backend developer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of robust and scalable backend systems. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to build high-quality and efficient software solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Work with RESTful APIs, microservices, and other backend technologies.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate backend services with user-facing applications.
  • Conduct performance tuning, debugging, and optimization for better scalability and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
  • Contribute to software architecture design and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, standups, and reviews.


Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Java Backend Developer (3+ years preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Java, including experience with Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience with MySQL for database management and design.
  • Experience with Kafka for message streaming and processing.
  • Knowledge of Redis for caching and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) for cloud infrastructure management.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design patterns.
  • Experience with RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Knowledge of unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).


Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript or front-end technologies is a plus.
