Mangalam University, GurugramJob Description:K. R. Mangalam University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Coordinator – UX/UI and Interaction Design to lead and manage the B. Des. program in UX/UI and Interaction Design. The role demands a strong understanding of user-centered design, interaction principles, and hands-on proficiency in industry-standard software and prototyping tools. The candidate will be responsible for academic leadership, curriculum development, and mentoring a team of faculty and students to meet industry-relevant learning outcomes.Key Responsibilities:- Lead academic planning, curriculum alignment, and student engagement activities- Teach core courses in UX research, UI design, interaction design, and prototyping- Guide students in real-world projects, internships, and portfolio development- Integrate software training into design pedagogy to meet current industry demands- Foster collaborations with industry partners and organize guest lectures/workshops- Support faculty development and academic operations of the programKey Skills & Competencies:- Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, In Vision, Axure, and Webflow- Strong understanding of user research, information architecture, wireframing, and usability testing- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, responsive design, and basic front-end frameworks- Familiarity with interaction design for web, mobile, and emerging interfaces- Ability to manage teams, coordinate cross-functional activities, and mentor students effectivelyQualifications:- Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Communication Design, HCI, or related field (Preferred).- 2+ years of relevant academic/industry experience in UX/UI and interaction design- Strong portfolio showcasing UX processes, UI systems, and interactive prototypes- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
