Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers, systems architects, and DevOps professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation , collaboration , and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract , retain , and nurture top-tier engineering talent.

Technology Strategy & Execution:

  • Define and execute the technology strategy to align with business goals and lending objectives.
  • Oversee the development and enhancement of lending platforms , ensuring they meet performance , security , and scalability requirements.
  • Guide the design and implementation of new features, integrations, and platform enhancements.

Product Development:

  • Manage the entire product development lifecycle from conception to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with product management , data analytics , and cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric solutions .
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all product development processes.

IT Infrastructure & Operations:

  • Oversee the management of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premises systems, and hybrid infrastructures to ensure platform reliability.
  • Implement best practices for DevOps , CI/CD , and system monitoring to improve platform performance.
  • Ensure that all technology systems are secure and meet data protection laws .

Customer Support & Service:

  • Ensure technology solutions meet customer expectations and adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) .
  • Address and resolve technical issues that impact customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with support teams to resolve customer queries and issues.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure engineering practices comply with financial regulations and data protection laws .
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive financial and customer data.
  • Identify and mitigate potential technological and operational risks .

Project Management:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Track KPIs to measure project success and engineering team performance.
  • Manage project resources and timelines effectively to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering , or a related field.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering , with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the financial services or lending domain.
  • Proven experience in managing engineering teams and delivering complex, scalable technology solutions.
  • Experience in developing and managing SME lending platforms or similar financial systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in software architecture, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar.
  • Experience with data analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
