Job Description

Position Title: Regional Operations Head (South India)

Location: Bangalore, India

Industry: Food & Beverage, 3PL & 4PL Logistics

Job Summary : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced cold chain professional to lead and optimize our cold chain logistics operations within the Food & Beverage industry. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and experience in managing cold chain logistics, with a strong background in 3PL and 4PL logistics in the South.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

· Oversee and manage the end-to-end cold chain logistics and 3PL operations.

· Develop & implement strategies to optimize the cold chain operations process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.

· Monitor and manage the performance of all logistics partners and vendors.

2. Team Leadership:

· Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing operations teams in various cities in the South.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the team.

· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

3. Vendor and Relationship Management:

· Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and logistics partners.

· Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure the best terms and conditions.

· Ensure that all vendors meet the company’s quality and service standards.

4. Process Optimization

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

· Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

· Implement and monitor KPIs to track and measure performance.

5. Customer Relationship Management

· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through reliable and quality service delivery.

· Address and resolve any customer issues or complaints promptly.

· Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to understand and meet customer needs.

6. Financial Management

· Develop and manage the operations budget.

· Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce operational costs.

· Ensure that all operations are conducted within budgetary constraints.

7. Pricing formulation

· Collaborate with sales teams to develop accurate and competitive quotations for cold chain logistics services.

· Provide operational insights and cost estimates to support the sales team in securing new business.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Logistics or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in cold chain logistics within the F&B industry.

· Extensive experience in 3PL and 4PL logistics in India.

· Proven track record of leading and managing large-scale logistics operations.

· Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

· Proficiency in logistics management software and tools including WMS.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

· Active database of vendors and logistics partners.

· Established relationships with key stakeholders in the Food & Beverage industry.

· Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.

· This role may require travel to various operational sites and client locations.

· The position may involve working extended hours to meet operational demands.
