About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Mendix Developer to join our team, focusing on building applications with a strong emphasis on manufacturing and integration with shop floor systems. You will be a key part of developing solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency and provide valuable insights into production processes. This role requires close collaboration with our consulting team and customers to understand their needs and deliver innovative solutions. While prior experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is beneficial, it's not a requirement. We provide opportunities to learn and grow your expertise in this area.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement Mendix applications that streamline manufacturing operations and integrate with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with the consulting team and clients to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and design solutions that optimize manufacturing workflows.
  • Develop Mendix modules and functionalities that address key manufacturing challenges, such as production tracking, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Create intuitive user interfaces and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into production data.
  • Integrate Mendix applications with shop floor equipment, databases, and other relevant systems.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of delivered solutions through thorough testing and code reviews.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and standards.
  • Stay current with the latest Mendix features and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience developing applications with the Mendix platform.
  • Proven experience in building and deploying complex Mendix applications.
  • Strong understanding of Mendix best practices, domain models, microflows, and UI design.
  • Experience with Mendix integration capabilities (web services, APIs, databases).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Mendix Expert Developer certification is mandatory
  • Experience with other programming languages (Java, JavaScript) is a plus.

Good to Have:

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) concepts and functionalities.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT).
  • Experience with cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, Mendix Cloud).
