We are seeking a dynamic sales and business development professional to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion and curiosity for driving business growth. They should possess the ability to generate new sales and contribute ideas for innovative chemicals based on market insights. This is a global business position reporting directly to the CEO and gives an opportunity to be part of a growing company.
Responsibilities
Responsible for developing sales for the Indian and global markets for existing and new specialty chemical products. This includes increasing the sales/share of existing offerings and identifying new product opportunities by leveraging all categories.
Develop and execute sales plan and marketing strategies for new and existing products.
Manage existing distribution/agent relationships; evaluate current partners and develop recommended channel/sales approaches for the variety of markets our clients serve. This role will have day-to-day responsibility for ensuring the performance of distributor partners.
Conduct cold calling, forecasting, area management, and customer management activities.
Perform market research to pinpoint potential product opportunities and create a business roadmap.
Collaborate with the company's R&D, manufacturing, and other functions.
Represent the company at conferences, company events, and regular customer meetings to advocate for products and services.
Identify and nurture new business opportunities, fostering relationships with potential customers both domestically and internationally.
Uphold and enhance existing customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Engage in and contribute to management team meetings covering strategy, operations, business development, and related topics.
Qualifications
10-20 years of direct sales and business development experience for global markets in a reputed company in the specialty chemical sector is mandatory.
Experience in the energy (metal extraction) and agrochemical markets, particularly in international market development, is highly preferred.
Graduation in engineering or science from a reputed institution is required. Candidates with an MBA degree from elite institutes will be given preference.
A good understanding of the specialty chemical ecosystem in India and abroad is necessary.
