What Youll Do

Empower Patients and Families

• Guide individuals through pre- and post-test counselling with clarity and empathy.
• Take detailed medical and family histories to assess genetic risks.
• Explain complex genetic test results in a simple, supportive, and culturally sensitive way.

Drive Community Awareness

• Lead outreach programs, health camps, and training sessions to educate communities about genetic conditions and preventive care.
• Create easy-to-understand educational materials in English and local languages to promote genetics knowledge.

Be the Bridge Between Care Teams

• Coordinate with labs to ensure smooth referrals and patient follow-ups.
• Train field health staff to identify at-risk individuals and refer cases appropriately.

Stay Ahead of the Curve

• Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in genetic testing and public health communication.
• Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and ethical compliance.

What they are Looking For

Must-Have

• A Bachelors degree (B.Sc) in a relevant field.

Nice-to-Have

• A Masters degree (M.Sc) in Genetic Counselling, Medical Genetics, Human Genetics, or related fields.
• Certification or formal training in Genetic Counselling.
• Experience in community health, public health programs, or NGOs.
• Previous work in outreach programs, awareness campaigns, or field counselling.
• Proficiency in local languages and the ability to engage with diverse communities.
