Job Summary: The TechOps Support Engineer will be responsible for providing L2 technical support and escalation management to ensure the smooth operation of systems, infrastructure, and business solutions within the organization. The role requires a strong understanding of various technologies and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues to help identify the shortest path resolution. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure Operations, Technical Product Operations, Business Application Management and Deployment Operations to enhance system reliability, performance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor the health of IT systems and applications and respond to alerts to maintain service availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, software, network, and infrastructure issues within SLA.
• Collaborate with development, network, and security teams to identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Serve as the escalation point for incidents and outages affecting TechOps systems.
• Investigate recurring operational problems and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
• Log and track incidents, documenting resolutions, and improvements to reduce resolution times. • Drive and participate in problem solving processes and problem management activities.
• Be first point of contact for recurring tasks and manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage.
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency using tools and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Help define automation tasks for infrastructure management, deployments, and monitoring.
• Setup, maintain, and improve monitoring tools and dashboards for proactive system health checks (e.g., PRTG, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Optimize system performance, identifying areas for improvement in scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure that systems adhere to security best practices, including patch management, access control, and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with the security team to implement compliance policies (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) and respond to security incidents.
• Own and maintain accurate and detailed documentation of systems, procedures, and incident responses.
• Own and develop knowledge base articles and operational runbooks for internal use.
• Collaborate closely with the leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., development, DevOps, product) to support deployments and operational needs. Participate in technical discussions to improve infrastructure design and operations.
Skills & Qualifications :
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows system administration.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
• Exceptionally good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPN, load balancers).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Excellent communication skills and customer interaction skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-organized and strong drive for ownership and responsibility.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to deescalate in calm fashion and strong focus on customer needs.
• A team player with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn about recent technologies. Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or similar are a plus.
• Proficient in English verbal and written.
Experience:
• 6-9 years of experience in a technical support, system administration, or operations role.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management and automation tools.
Working Hours:
• Must be available for on-call rotations and after-hours support when required
