Are you an experienced Civil Designer with a passion for civil engineering projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. We are seeking individuals with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in land development, residential, commercial and industrial projects that include site servicing, site grading, stormwater management design, construction services, and water resource modeling using HEC-RAS for floodplain analysis. As a Civil Designer, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Project Engineers with design and drafting of site servicing plan, site grading plan, erosion and sediment control plan, pre- and post-development drainage plans; calculations for stormwater management, functional servicing, and floodplain cut and fill analysis. This role is integral to the preparation of land development for residential, commercial and industrial projects. Primary Responsibilities: ·        Complete design drawings in accordance with local standards and guidelines, and project specifications. ·        Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings using Auto CAD Civil 3 D, or other computer-assisted design/drafting equipment. ·        Coordinate project drawings with project engineer, and others. ·        Ensure that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner. ·        Work under the direction of senior engineer working with team. ·        Provide support in the design, drafting, modification and evaluation of civil engineering for Land Development projects. Experience and Qualifications: ·        Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Civil Engineering, preferably from a consulting engineering office environment. ·        Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or related qualifications. ·        Proficient knowledge of Auto CAD Civil 3 D is a mandatory requirement, along with strong computer software skills in MS Word and Excel, and PDF viewer. ·        Familiarity with various Municipal & Regional design and drafting standards and guidelines in Ontario, Canada. ·        Experience in preliminary and detailed design drawing preparation associated with Land Development projects, including site servicing, site grading, stormwater management and floodplain management. ·        Independent, Organized and Motivated Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills ·        Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast-paced turnaround environment ·        Skills in HEC-RAS for floodplain analysis and water resource modeling is a bonus Technical Skills in Civil 3 D Software: We expect candidates to have intermediate to senior-level proficiency in the following civil design skills: Site Servicing, including water mains, sanitary sewers and storm sewers, storm drainage Site gradings Earthworks cut and fill material estimates Creating pipe system networks Generating plans and profiles, cross section views Join our team and grow into a valued and integral member of our organization.
