An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced professional to join our client’s team in the role of Assistant Vice President: Regulatory Reporting.


Role Overview:


The Assistant Vice President: Regulatory Reporting will manage the delivery of the Group’s PRA and EBA reports on Capital and RWA, including COREP, PRA101, Pillar 2, and Pillar 3 disclosures. This role includes preparing and reviewing regulatory reporting artifacts, managing regulatory changes, supporting regulatory transformation initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.


Principal Responsibilities:


  • Regulatory Reporting: Manage the delivery of the Group’s PRA and EBA reports on Capital and RWA, including COREP, PRA101, Pillar 2, and Pillar 3 disclosures.
  • Preparation and Review: Prepare and review regulatory reporting artifacts comprising Capital and RWA as per EU and UK regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Change Management: Interpret new regulatory requirements and ensure systems are developed to meet new requirements and are fit for purpose.
  • Transformation Initiatives: Support the delivery of regulatory transformation initiatives and strategic projects such as IRR (Integrity of Regulatory Reporting) and Basel 3 reforms.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor regulatory developments and prepare a framework to assess compliance with regulatory requirements on an ongoing basis.
  • SME Support: Provide SME support to reporting teams and stakeholders in the regulatory reporting processes.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Group Regulatory Policy, Finance Change, Risk, and other teams to implement regulatory changes.
  • Audit Support: Support internal and external auditors in assessing the compliance of the reporting framework.
  • Policy Documentation: Manage and document policy interpretations and judgments applied within the regulatory reporting framework.


Requirements:


  • Qualifications: Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant), MBA (Finance), or Engineering degree with an interest in Financial Services.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to review large data sets, draw strategic insights, interpret data, and identify trends/anomalies, particularly in the context of business, macro-economic, or regulatory drivers.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge and/or interest in Asset Liability Management, FSA Reporting, and relevant regulatory changes in a global environment preferred.
  • Control Frameworks: Understanding of control frameworks and the ability to implement effective controls in practice.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply to a global audience.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations and quickly understand issues.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Banking Systems: Working knowledge of banking systems and understanding of the relevant regulatory reporting framework is essential.
  • Financial Products: Good understanding of financial products, general accounting principles, and the banking business, including balance sheet and income statement preferred.
