Position Overview
At EC-Council, we are committed to delivering innovative Ed-Tech products that address the evolving needs of our customers. To spearhead our product expansion efforts, we're seeking an experienced Vice President (VP) of Product to define and drive our product vision and strategy in EC-Council. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven record of accomplishment of driving product excellence in the Ed-Tech segment.
As the Vice President of Product, you will be at the helm of our product strategy, leading efforts to develop and execute transformative product plans that enhance our market position and drive growth. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet customer needs, exceed expectations, and deliver substantial business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and goals.
- Lead the product team in defining and executing product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with market trends and business objectives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives that enhance the company’s competitive edge.
Product Innovation and Development:
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and innovative products.
- Foster a culture of creativity and excellence within the product team, encouraging new ideas and approaches to solve complex challenges.
Market and Customer Focus:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Develop strategies to address customer pain points and drive product differentiation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with technology, marketing, customer excellence, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of product plans and strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to align product development with business goals.
Performance and Impact:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact on business performance.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing product performance metrics and implementing necessary adjustments.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a 40+ high-performing product team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Promote professional growth and development opportunities for team members, enhancing their skills and capabilities.
Required skills, experiences, and qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in product management, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful products that drive business growth.
- Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field; or MBA preferred.
