The Job

Our Technology Solutions Sales organization(TSS) hires talented technologists as Applications Engineers (AEs). An AE isthe primary link between our customers and our product team buildingleading-edge technology solutions. It is both a deeply technical role and onethat requires entrepreneurial thinking, an understanding of the advanced IC digitaldesign challenges, and a flexible approach to help customers get their designsdone using Aprisa solution. You will also need to remain highly organized in arapidly changing environment, juggle multiple considerations in quick decision-makingand prioritization situations, and manage professional relationships inside andoutside the organization.

Successful Aprisa AEs work with customers andpotential customers to identify technology or operational challenges in theirexisting physical design flows, then use developing relationshipsand deep knowledge to lead the Siemens team to a successful evaluation, sale,and deployment of Aprisa to solve the customers’ problems.

What You Look Like in the Job

Youhave a deep digital design experience in EDA or IC industry, are ready to leadpre-sales customer engagements to win business, and eager to grow the footprintby defining and executing post-sales expansion plans. Youhave superb communication skills and a high emotional intelligence, with anability to navigate different frames of reference among stakeholders, such asR&D or account teams, during engagements covering complex technical, andbusiness topics. Youcan build strong customer relationships, align with account team on businessopportunities, and serve as the key field resource to gather and communicatecompetitive threats and opportunities Youare customer-focused but balance that with a keen awareness of how business ROIinforms technical engagements. You may even have had to lobby your employer getadditional resources to meet support standards or – with regret – to firecustomers. What You’ve Done

Youhave a BSc. in Electrical or Computer Engineering. If you have a Master’s, youhave an advantage in applying. Youhave five or more years of experience in EDA or the IC design space. Youhave a strong understanding of, and working experience with, Innovus, ICCompiler I/II, Aprisa, and/or Nitro-SoC.

·You havehands-on expertise in RTL to tape-out digital implementation, includingsynthesis, place-and-route, PPA closure, and related sign-off verification.This comes with an in-depth knowledge of FinFET-related PPA and time-to-resultschallenges as well as an understanding of the digital implementation toolmarket, industry operation, and competitive offerings.

·Because ofthe above experience, it’s not difficult for you to talk about floorplanning,placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, signal & power integrity, andstatic timing processes. You can teach many of these topics without muchpreparation.

·It goeswithout saying that you have expert-level scripting skills (TCL, command line*nix) and a good understanding of Verilog and UPF data formats
