Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly motivated to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to drive personalization and relevancy to each customer by using multiple data sets and marketing channels. As a Data Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for using Thermo Fisher's Digital Marketing and Sales Technology Platform to understand and deliver relevant data insights and audiences to various functions across the organization. This position requires a combination of business and technical skills to meet the objectives of the role.

A day in the life:

Build targeted segments/audiences using online and offline data, including first, second, and third-party data. Develop audiences and data sets across various channels such as email, social media, 3rd party sites, etc. Optimize audience reach efficiency during campaigns to ensure a high return on investment. Support and maintain a portfolio of audience definitions, including first and third-party data for prospecting and nurturing. Support standard processes for audience sizing, characteristics, and the application of demographic and behavioral data insights. Understand business objectives and translate requirements into campaign targeting and selection rules. Define segmentation based on message content, offer, and testing needs, and determine data sources required to meet campaign requirements. Collaborate with data scientists to develop and interpret targeted customer and prospect profiles using statistical methodologies, models, and segmentation schemes. Network with multiple marketing teams to coordinate programs and avoid over-targeting and conflicting messaging. Evaluate opportunities to improve process flows and advocate for process automation. Validate list selection logic, segmentation, offers, and multifaceted output, relating it back to the business. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 

Keys to success:

Education:

Bachelor's degree. Proven experience with sophisticated segmentation tools.

Experience:

Experience managing others. Experience with Query language and Campaign Management Tools (Adobe Experience Platform, SFDC, Adobe Audience Manager, Databricks). Experience in the in-market application of segmentation schemes, demographic data, and predictive modeling. Understanding of and experience with all audience development channels, including email, social media, 3rd party sites, partnerships, and programmatic buying.
 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Experience using SQL, Spark, PowerBI (or equivalent) for data analysis. Experience in business analysis, operations, or B2B service is a plus. Adept at debugging and solving problems. Ability to collaborate across teams and continuously enrich knowledge of customers and products. Digitally savvy with outstanding analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Maintains expertise in marketing and stays current on new developments. Strong ability to prioritize, analyze, interpret, and disseminate information. Computer literate with solid understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Access. Ability to work under pressure and change direction as needed. Ability to make decisions, prioritize, and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. Strong attention to detail in a multitasked environment.
