Project Manager (Electrical Distribution Projects)

Position: Project Manager
Department: Projects Electrical Distribution
Location: Mumbai
Reporting to: General Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee electrical distribution projects. The candidate should have a strong technical background in distribution systems, proven ability to manage multiple site teams, and excellent client-handling skills, especially with Government Utilities. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth execution, resolving site-level technical issues, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely billing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution & Management

  • Plan, monitor, and control day-to-day activities of electrical distribution projects.

  • Manage and coordinate multiple project teams, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and safety standards.

  • Anticipate and resolve technical/site issues to avoid delays.

  • Client Coordination & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact with the client (Government Utility).

  • Resolve queries, provide technical clarifications, and ensure smooth client interactions.

  • Represent the company in client meetings and ensure project commitments are met.

  • Billing & Documentation

  • Ensure timely preparation, submission, and follow-up of RA bills/final bills.

  • Coordinate with accounts/billing teams to avoid delays in client payments.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports.

  • Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, contractors, and site engineers.

  • Allocate resources effectively and ensure productivity of teams.
  • Conduct regular reviews to track progress and address bottlenecks.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E./B.Tech/ M.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in Electrical Distribution Projects (11kV/33kV/66kV/132Kv/220Kv systems preferred).
  • Proven experience in managing multiple site teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution systems, cable laying, jointing, termination, O&M, and testing.
  • Prior experience handling Government Utility clients will be an added advantage.
