Role Overview
The Buyer Projects Purchasing will be responsible for end-to-end procurement and project support for electro-mechanical systems. This includes managing material procurement, cost tracking against budgets, coordinating project approvals, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. The role also includes responsibility for generating MIS reports and managing inspections, documentation, and vendor coordination. The key responsibilities of this role include,

  1. Procurement & Sourcing:

  2. Manage purchasing of electro-mechanical materials and coordination with vendors.

  3. Project Cost Tracking:

  4. Track project cost vs. budget vs. price schedule throughout the project.

  5. Order Fulfillment:

  6. Ensure timely supplier deliveries and handle dispatch/logistics coordination.

  7. Project Coordination:

  8. Align procurement with project approvals and interdepartmental timelines.

5. Inspection & Quality Control:

  • Support final inspections and manage related quality documentation

6. MIS & Documentation:

  • Maintain procurement records and generate regular project MIS reports.

Academic Qualifications

  • B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical) or relevant degree.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Basic understanding of electro-mechanical components and systems
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and ERP systems (if any)
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical mindset
  • Good communication and vendor negotiation skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic project environment

Reporting Structure & Collaboration
Reports To: Head Supply Chain Management
Collaborates With:

  • All internal departments (MSW, Process Engineering, Electrical & Commission etc.)
  • HR & Internal Communication Team
  • Team Leaders across Business Units
  • Finance & Accounts Team
