Role Overview:
As an English Editor, youll be responsible for formatting, editing, and proofreading English subtitles for Hollywood studios, ensuring grammatical accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and localization standards. Youll also perform audio fidelity checks, support subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing, and work on scripting/localization projects with proprietary tools.

  • Formatting, editing and proofreading English subtitles intended for the deaf and hard of hearing.
  • Footnoting cultural references and expressions as an aid to translators.
  • Performing audio fidelity quality checks (ensuring subtitles match the audio).

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • CTC: Up to 6 LPA
  • Experience: Freshers – 5 years
  • Work Mode: Hybrid
  • Shifts: Flexibility to work in all three shifts
  • Educational Background (for freshers): Graduation in English Language courses or Media courses
  • Experienced candidates: Background in Content Writing, Scripting, Subtitling, Transcribing, Localization

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong grasp of English grammar and audio sensitivity (understanding spoken American English).
  • Excellent comprehension, research, and fact-checking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & good computer literacy.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, with the ability to multitask.
  • Broad cultural knowledge, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset.
