Qualification Required: B.E. (Mechanical or equivalent). Experience of BiW structures design in NX (Surface modeling). Knowledge of Body in white parts.

Relevant Experience Required:

  1. Engineering degree with 3 -6 yrs of experience working with Automotive BIW Doors, Closures and Structures part design
  2. Knowledge of forming/manufacturability and assembly.
  3. Knowledge in GD&T with the ability to apply to components and assemblies
  4. Good communication skills.
  5. Expert in UG NX, Part, Surface and Assembly design,
  6. Previous experience in MBRDI (Daimler CAD methodology) will be a added advantage.

Skill Requirements:

1) BIW structures/Side wall/Body upper part design/joining techniques

2) UG NX

3) PDM -Team center

Job Responsibilities:

Designing of sheet metal parts. Modification of parts based on manufacturing, packaging, styling and CAE inputs.

Support the Body Engineering in delivering the Design projects

Create Parametric Surface models of Closure Parts (Outer skin and inner / inner reinforcement parts) as per Packaging requirements, Design standards

Responsible for meeting DVP&R and DFMEA by virtual analysis by interacting with necessary CAE team
