ABOUT THE DIGITAL INNOVATION GROUP (DIG) Opportunity International’s Digital Innovation Group (DIG) is pioneering Opportunity International’s global approach to innovative programming. DIG focuses on assessing and understanding our clients and partners, to develop the appropriate technologies that align with their needs. It does so by using an innovative approach, built upon research, tested through pilot programs, scaled to create global impact, and measured to demonstrate efficacy. This approach builds solutions that enable clients to improve their livelihoods and break the cycle of generational poverty. POSITION SUMMARY Despite significant progress in financial and digital inclusion in India, challenges remain. This is true especially for women who have historically not participated deeply in the financial sector. The Banking Correspondent (BC) system which facilitates “last mile” outreach to rural and poor communities provides an opportunity for women agents to engage the financial system. In 2021, given the need for certification, Opportunity addressed this gap by developing a community-based online-and-in-person BC training/mentoring system, using a cascading TOT approach. To date, the program has over 2000 agents trained. The program envisions scaling training of BC agents, using innovative technology such as GenAI to reduce cost and serve at the last mile. We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Lead in India, to drive implementation of the existing Agents of Change program, aimed specifically at training, and certifying female Business Correspondents Agents across the country and the deployment of GenAI solutions developed by the Digital Innovation Group. The Senior Program lead will ensure that all targets are met, ensure that the budgets are effectively managed, and all expenditure accounted for and the impact on the clients collated, evaluated, and communicated.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Based on the skills and experience of the candidates, Key responsibilities include: ·

Working with the DIG team to develop a strategic expansion plan for India based on the current programming. ·

Ensure existing donor projects achieve set targets and impacts by developing a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework to ensure the program quality. ·

Successfully guide projects using GenAI through pilot, implementation, and scale stages. ·

Identify and secure partnerships with strategic partners for work in India. ·

Collaborate with the Marketing department and DIG team to develop compelling stories, case studies, and events highlighting program impact.

QUALIFICATIONS Essential: An internationally recognized postgraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject i.e., International Development, Program Management, Business Management, Finance and Banking, etc. Relevant experience (3-7 years) in strategic management, program expansion and management, budget management, and field team management. Experience working within the development sector, preferably in India or other Asian markets. Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement and relationship management. Appreciates fast-past environment, highly organized and responsive to shifts in priorities. Advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with little oversight, strong attention to detail, and excellent written communication skills. Commitment to diversity and inclusion. Applicants must be able to attend and fully participate in business meetings and interactions that are conducted in English. Preferred: Proficiency in additional South Asian Languages (Urdu/Sindhi/Hindi/Tamil) preferred. Experience and knowledge of innovative technology in low-resource settings. Experience working with private and public sectors to build, develop, and scale programs.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Significant travel is required within India.

CONTRACT TYPE Initially a 12- month, consultancy contract, with the option to extend based on performance and program need.

LOCATION This role is a remote position based in Delhi, India.
