Purpose of the role:
Responsible for developing sales strategies and managing sales team in order to achieve set sales goals, targets and revenue.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies
2. Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets
3. Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
4. Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
5. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department
6. Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements
7. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
8. Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
9. Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
10. Liaise with Distribution, Marketing, SFE, SCM, Training, HR and Sales Admin departments to ensure brand consistency
11. Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
Preferred Experience (Industry/therapy/function no. of years):
Minimum 13 years of experience in Pharma sales out of which at least two years’ experience as a National Sales Head -All India or Half India for Govt. Institution Business.
