Key Responsibilities:

  • Configuration and Development:

Customizing and configuring Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter to meet specific business requirements, including product model, rating engine, APIs, UI, batch processes, and integrations.

  • Technical Expertise:

Proficiency in Java, Gosu, and Guidewire's development tools like Studio.

  • Insurance Knowledge:

A solid understanding of insurance industry processes, including underwriting, policy administration, and claims handling.

  • Agile Development:

Working within an Agile framework, participating in sprint planning, demos, and code reviews.

  • Collaboration:

Working closely with business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and integration of Guidewire solutions.

  • Problem-Solving:

Troubleshooting and resolving issues within Guidewire applications, including configuration problems and system integration challenges.

  • Testing and Maintenance:

Conducting testing, debugging, and maintaining Guidewire systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Staying Updated:

Continuously learning about new Guidewire features, best practices, and industry trends.

Specific Skills and Qualifications:

  • Guidewire Certification:

Guidewire Certified Specialist or other relevant certifications are often preferred.

  • Experience:

Hands-on experience with PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter, including product model configuration, Gosu scripting, and integrations.

  • Technical Skills:

Strong Java development skills, familiarity with REST and SOAP web services, and experience with PCF (PolicyCenter Pages).

  • Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

In addition to these core responsibilities, a Lead Consultant role might involve:

  • Leading Implementation: Managing the implementation of Guidewire solutions for both PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter.
  • Mentoring: Providing technical guidance and support to other team members.

Strategic Planning: Contributing to the overall strategy for Guidewire implementations and enhancements
