Job Summary

The Senior Manager Finance will be responsible for managing the company's accounts, statutory compliance, and financial reporting while leading and mentoring a team of eight. This role involves timely closure of books, tax compliance, audit coordination, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards. The position requires strong expertise in SAP ECC, GST, corporate taxation, and audit management, with proven experience in large manufacturing organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage overall company accounts and lead a team of 8, providing training and guidance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of books in line with applicable Accounting Standards.
  • Handle monthly closure of accounts, MIS reporting, reconciliations, tax calculations, and inventory verification.
  • Coordinate statutory, cost, and internal audits; liaise with auditors and external consultants for timely completion.
  • Oversee corporate tax matters including MAT, advance tax, income tax filings, TDS, GST, and responses to notices.
  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, and legal advisors for assessments and transfer pricing scrutiny.

Functional Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of GST compliance, TDS management, and corporate tax planning.
  • Proficiency in SAP ECC and ability to analyze, report, and guide team operations in ERP.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and government portals for compliance and filings.
  • Experience in coordinating with statutory and cost auditors with strong documentation practices.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Commerce/Finance (BCom, BBA, BBM, etc.) with professional qualifications such as CA (Inter), ICWA (Inter), M.Com, or a Postgraduate degree in Finance & Accounts.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years with a Chartered Accountants' firm handling audits and finalization of accounts for manufacturing companies in India.
  • At least 10 years in a manufacturing organization (turnover 300 Cr.+) with SAP ECC, leading a team of 5+ executives, handling end-to-end accounts, audits, tax filings, assessments, and transfer pricing.
