We are seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Design Engineer with a strong background in mechanical or aerospace engineering. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in CAD design, proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CATIA, and a passion for innovative design solutions, particularly in the field of UAVs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D models and assemblies in CATIA 3DX (V6).
  • Perform hand calculations and preliminary sizing for design feasibility.
  • Use basic FEA to check design integrity.
  • Conduct stack-up analysis for tolerance and fit.
  • Design moulds, tools, and fixtures for manufacturing.
  • Work with teams to define requirements and deliver design solutions.
  • Document all design processes and changes.
  • Keep current on CAD and manufacturing trends, including composites and machining.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD design engineering.

Technical Skills :

  • Proficient in CATIA with strong mechanical design background, including hand calculations and preliminary sizing.
  • Experienced in FEA and stack-up analysis; knowledgeable in mould, tool, and fixture design.
  • Familiar with composite manufacturing and machining.
  • Solid understanding of aerodynamics and aircraft structures under static and dynamic loads.
  • Product development experience with DFM/DFA principles.
  • Skilled in ENOVIA, Teamcenter, or similar PDM/PLM systems.

Soft Skills :

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge/Experience in Product Design in Unmanned combat aerial vehicles.
  • Understanding of Aeroelasticity (Manoeuvre Loads computation, Flutter and Gust).
  • Programming Languages MATLAB, Python/C++ for parametric analysis Design and FEA.
