We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President – MSS Corporate Sales.
Corporate Sales, a part of Markets and Securities Services Front Office, is looking to recruit a talented and experienced individual in the area of Business Development that will enable onshore sales teams to dedicate more time delivering better service to clients and make it easier for customers to do business with HSBC. The candidate will be part of the Corporate Sales Business Development & Client Intelligence team.
The mandate of the Corporate Sales Business Development & Client Intelligence team is to support the development and implementation of Corporate Sales Strategy, providing insight, developing tools and driving initiatives to help grow the business and deliver measurable improvements in client service and sales performance. The purpose of the Corporate Sales Business Development & Client Intelligence team is to assist onshore sales teams with pre-sales and opportunity lifecycle management.
The candidate will be part of the Corporate Sales Business Development & Client Intelligence team supporting Front Office sales leadership through the provision of key client insights and services. The individual will be expected to work closely with the COO office, Corporate Sales regional/country heads and sales leads in onshore locations.

Responsibilities
Responsible for working in partnership with the Corporate Sales COO, business heads and senior business leadership team in setting up sales strategy, and engaging with stakeholders across the global and regional businesses and COO teams to translate this into effective global execution and implementation plans Conduct analysis of client and other external data (Coalition, Greenwich) to identify sales opportunities and support Corporate sales growth objectives Manage specific growth initiatives day-to-day, and provide complex ad-hoc analytics to Corporate Sales Global Head and ExCo as needed Support COO team to run Senior Management Exec committees, Townhalls, briefings and checkpoints.Work alongside onshore teams to ensure consistency and quality of materials Leverage specialist data analytics and visualisation skills leveraging Qliksense and Python tools to distribute actionable insights to global sales teams Identify key trends in the market and produce thematic papers to the frontline sales to facilitate discussions with coverage and key product partners Drive projects for the bank and corporate sales division and bring efficiencies to the overall process Represent Corporate Sales on project working groups as necessary RequirementsWhat you will need to succeed in the role:
Desirable Skills sets:
Solutions oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and problem solving skills Project management skills with a proven track record of delivery Flexible with good time management; can carry out a number of different tasks concurrently Excellent data analysis skills, with a strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office tools – in particular Excel and PowerPoint; experience working with other data analysis and presentation tools would be helpful Excellent communication skills; able to present progress, risks, issues and outcomes quickly and effectively, tailoring output to a variety of stakeholders and audience Experience working with senior stakeholders to develop, document and drive execution of sales plans, business strategy, or in a consultancy role would be beneficial Understand market developments, business and client needs pre and post trade Knowledge of corporate clients and their liquidity, working capital and risk management needs is desirable Able to work with various groups (front office, Ops, IT, Risk, Finance) to achieve desired outcome.You’ll achieve more at HSBC
