About the Team 
The S&D vertical at Ninjacart is focused on the farm to retailer business of procuring from farmers and delivering to retailers - ensuring that farmers get paid the right price for their efforts and that retailers are able to get market quality produce delivered at their doorsteps. The last mile distribution is handled by our Distributor partners based out of our Micro Distribution Centres. 
As a part of the team, you will be in charge of managing the Distributor Partners (DPs) assigned to you and enable them to succeed in the business, hence a Partner Success Manager. For this, you will need to work closely with the DPs to ensure Last Mile Fleet Availability, On-Time Deliveries to the retailers, proper handling of the stock and ensure proper liquidation of the returned stocks. You will also have to work closely with Category teams, Sourcing teams, Last Mile Cluster operations teams, Sales teams and finance teams etc. and represent the VOC of the DPs. Also, you will have the responsibility to ensure the financial discipline and On-Time Cash Deposition by the DPs to the Company.
The S&D Grocery vertical at Ninjacart is focused on building the business of Kirana E-commerce where we source from a plethora of brands and deliver to retailers ensuring meeting the right value proposition like On time deliveries, competitive market prices and a wide and relevant assortment. While this value proposition is solid and proven in terms of being customer-centric, the ability to create solutions that are implementable, viable and feasible towards a profitable ecosystem is a brilliant and alluring challenge. We identify the right to win in each category, marrying the nuances of the categories to the needs of the customer. Structurally, this is a 0 to 1 team, with focus on quick experimentation and playbook building on fulfilling the customer needs with respect to Grocery along with a strong ethos of profitability. 
Responsibilities
Lead, Drive & monitor the entire General Trade & distribution for assigned Zone/Area
Analyze performance metrics and suggest and build improvement techniques to achieve business goals
Hire & train sales executives to achieve overall business objectives
Delivery of Revenue, Weekly & monthly Customer Retention and other key growth initiatives
Managing Distributors in the assigned territory (Service & Hygiene Parameters)
Evaluating gaps at Category level & working with central team to bridge the same
Improvement of Salesforce effectiveness by adequate on the job training initiatives
Maintaining a good and healthy relationship among customer community of that area and improve loyalty and customer retention week on week
Handle and manage Key accounts in the assigned area 
Problem-solve for their Quantity and Quality issues, if any, by collaborating with various central teams such as Category teams, Sourcing teams, Last Mile Cluster operations teams, Sales teams and finance teams etc.
Ensure stability and development of Distribution partners of the area, and scout and spearhead the onboarding of new DPs in case of unprecedented churn
Maintain a pipeline of Distributor Partners for each territory

2-7 years of overall experience
Bachelor's Degree/MBA preferred in the relevant field 
Proven track record in managing mid-size distributors 
Should be comfortable with extensive traveling
Preferred experience in FMCG / FMCD / Telecom/B2B Start-ups or companies with field sales structure (Startup experience is a plus)
Intermediate skills in  Excel (PIVOTS, VLOOKUPs etc)
Local linguistic proficiency is Mandatory (Kannada in this case)
