Role & responsibilities

* Part Cost Estimation: Analyze and estimate the cost of manufacturing new parts through high-pressure die casting and machining.

* Project Follow-Up: Monitor the progress of new product development projects from concept to production.

* Customer & Supplier Follow-Up: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with product specifications. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, tools, and components.

* Casting & Machining Trials: Attend and oversee casting and machining trials to ensure the process runs smoothly and meets specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that occur during trials to ensure the product meets quality standards.

* PPAP Documents & BOM Preparation in ERP: Prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents to ensure that all product requirements are met before production begins. Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system for new products.

* Exposure to Die Casting & Machining Processes: Utilize knowledge of high-pressure aluminum die casting processes to optimize product design and manufacturing techniques.

* Tool Manufacturing & GD&T: Collaborate with tooling teams to design and manufacture tools required for die casting and machining processes.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in new product development within the high pressure aluminum die casting.
  • Strong knowledge of the high-pressure aluminum die casting process, tooling activities, and part machining.
  • Experience with PPAP documentation, BOM creation, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimension and Tolerance) principles.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with international customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot design and production issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
