Additionally, Telcovas provides 5G lab services for end-to-end network testing, service assurance, and core testing.
Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer with a deep understanding of telecommunications, including expertise in Roaming, 5G, Networks, Private Networks, Cybersecurity, and Value-Added Services (VAS). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. This role involves working closely with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to create comprehensive documentation that supports our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation for telecom products and services, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, white papers, and knowledge base articles.
- Develop documentation for a variety of audiences, including customers, internal teams, and technical support staff.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information, understand technical specifications, and ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and understandable content.
- Ensure all documentation meets industry standards and best practices for technical writing.
- Organize and maintain documentation repositories to ensure easy access and retrieval of information.
- Implement version control practices to track changes and updates to documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation is reviewed and approved by relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in the creation of product release notes, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides to support product launches and updates.
- Develop training materials and user guides to facilitate the adoption and use of new products and features.
- Review and edit content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Conduct usability testing on documentation to ensure it meets user needs and expectations.
- Continuously seek feedback from users to improve documentation quality and usability.
- Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
- Coordinate with project managers and product owners to align documentation efforts with product development cycles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Technical Writing, English, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including Roaming, 5G, Networks, Private Networks, Cybersecurity, and VAS.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Microsoft Office Suite, and content management systems.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with network protocols, architecture, and standards.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Experience with API documentation and developer guides.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to create visual aids such as diagrams, flowcharts, and infographics to enhance documentation.
