Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation for our software products. This includes writing user manuals, reference guides, and online help files.

You will work closely with our development team to understand product requirements and collaborate with other writers to ensure consistency across all types of technical documentation.

We value independence, self-reliance, and a passion for writing. You will be responsible for writing with professional-grade grammar and spelling, and utilizing solid sentence/paragraph structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit technical documentation with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with developers and other writers to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Apply formats according to style guides and controlled English standards.
  • Understand how technical documentation should be organized for logical information flow.
  • Work with development teams to gather information and create documentation.
  • Meet deadlines and commitments while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Organize and conduct meetings or interviews to gather information.
  • Work autonomously and rely on existing information to create documentation.
  • Possess a solid base of computer skills and knowledge of content management software.
  • Quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them understandable in text and pictures.
  • Regularly attend project conference calls to discuss status and queries.
  • Attend training sessions to develop/enhance skills.
  • Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve documentation clarity and ease of use.

Requirements:

  • Minimum years' experience in technical writing, focusing on software products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with content management authoring software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word and Visio).
  • Ability to work in a team and interact with geographically dispersed members.
  • Self-motivated and willing to accept challenging assignments.
  • Passion to learn new products and share knowledge.
