Start with first-principles: derive load paths, equilibrium, buckling & fatigue checks by hand before you open the software.???? Analyse & validate steel structures in ANSYS, Dlubal RFEM ... and your own spreadsheet???? Team up with steel detailers & CAD techs to turn clean calcs into buildable drawings.???? Projects across sectors: offshore & marine preferred—but bridges, plants, cranes, and heavy frames need the same fundamentals.???? Optimise designs by interrogating critical results, safety factors and fabrication constraints. Run QA reviews of models, hand calcs, reports and fabrication packages; coach juniors on "why", not just "how".What We're Looking For ???????? B. Eng / M. Eng in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.???? 3–5 yrs designing steelwork with demonstrable hand-calc proficiency (shear/moment, deflection, connection design, stability). Knowledge of steel grades, weld symbols, fabrication & erection methods.???? Ability to read/mark-up 3 D CAD and fabrication drawings????
