Job Title: Head of Financial Reporting and Business Insights

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Financial Reporting and Business Insights to lead our organization's financial reporting and analytics functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial reports, providing strategic insights, and driving a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive financial reporting strategy aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. Establish reporting standards, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with accounting standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance teams, senior leadership, and external auditors, to address reporting needs and ensure timely and accurate financial disclosures. Data Analysis and Insights: Lead the analysis of financial data to identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive business performance. Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making and drive operational excellence. Utilize advanced analytics techniques and tools to forecast financial outcomes, assess business risks, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency. Business Intelligence and Analytics: Develop and implement business intelligence (BI) solutions and analytics frameworks to enhance financial reporting capabilities and drive insights. Evaluate and leverage BI tools and technologies to automate reporting processes, streamline workflows, and improve data visualization and interpretation. Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in financial reporting and analytics to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts and business intelligence professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure team performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and executive leadership, to understand their reporting and analytics needs and priorities. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on financial reporting and analytics matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive business outcomes. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting processes, optimize data quality and integrity, and streamline reporting outputs. Implement feedback mechanisms and performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of financial reporting efforts and identify opportunities for enhancement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CA or CFA certification preferred. Extensive (10-12 years) experience in financial reporting, accounting, and data analytics, with a proven track record of leadership and achievement in a similar role. Listed entity preferred. Strong technical expertise in financial reporting standards (IND AS/IFRS), financial analysis, and business intelligence tools and technologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business results through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
